How is Tend different from a traditional home warranty company?
Tend allows the homeowner to select their own service provider which research has shown homeowners prefer up to 8 times more. Tend is also about half the cost of traditional home warranties and provides greater coverage.
Is a home inspection needed before getting coverage?
No. Neither coverage nor cost depends on the condition of the home. However, if an inspection reveals a breakdown before enrolling in a Tend plan, that pre-existing failure would not be covered.
Is a Tend Home warranty needed for a new house?
Even new homes experience breakdowns and failures of essential household systems and appliances in your home. Consumer Reports shared results of a study that up to 40% of appliances failed within the first five years of purchase. Ensure a new home is protected and running smoothly.
The client's house is 10+ years old//3000+ square feet in size. // Are they still eligible for a Tend Home warranty?
Absolutely. Tend is the same price no matter the age, size, or condition of the home. Coverage is available for all homes.
Are condos and townhomes covered by a Tend Home warranty?
Yes. Shared lines and systems (such as plumbing) would not be covered.

We strive to approve and pay all claims within two weeks. We have done it as quickly as within three days.
